Shipping Large Items
Large items — washing machines, fridges, full bedroom sets, Moroccan salon furniture, mattresses, dining tables — are the items traditional carriers either refuse, surcharge heavily on volumetric weight, or quote a freight-only rate that excludes pickup and delivery. EuroCollis solves this with independent couriers running vans, large vans and small trucks who carry these items as a normal load.
How pricing works for large items
EuroCollis uses per-item pricing with no volumetric-weight surcharge. The courier sees the item category and dimensions, applies a transparent rate (e.g. €60–€120 for a washing machine France→Morocco depending on city pair), and the customer sees the total before booking.
What couriers carry
- White goods: washing machines, fridges, ovens, dishwashers, freezers.
- Furniture: beds, mattresses, wardrobes, dining tables, sofas, full Moroccan salon (banquettes, table basse, miroir, cushions).
- Large electronics: 55–75 inch TVs, sound systems, projectors.
- Bulky personal: bicycles, scooters, gym equipment, instruments (piano excluded — specialist only).
Packing recommendations
Original boxes when possible. Otherwise: corner protection, blanket-wrap for furniture, shrink-film for upholstery, and clear "Fragile / Top / Bottom" markings. Couriers can advise on a per-item basis via in-app chat. For TVs and screens, original carton is strongly preferred — without it, the courier may require an insurance waiver clause.
Delivery to upper floors
Confirm building access with the courier before booking: lift dimensions, staircase width, parking restrictions. Many couriers carry a furniture trolley as standard; floor-to-floor white-glove delivery may add a modest surcharge.
Insurance on large items
Couriers carry commercial goods-in-transit insurance covering most damage scenarios. EuroCollis verifies courier identity, vehicle and address before listing, and operates a structured dispute-resolution process. For very high-value items (over €1,500), confirm coverage limits with the courier in chat before booking.
Frequently asked questions
Can EuroCollis ship a Moroccan salon set (banquettes + table)?
Yes — Moroccan salons are one of the most common items on the network. Couriers running Morocco corridors specifically equip for them.
Do you ship pianos?
Upright pianos sometimes, by arrangement. Grand pianos require a specialist mover — not in EuroCollis scope.
What if my building has no lift?
Confirm with the courier in chat before booking. Most accept stair delivery for a small surcharge; some refuse above 3rd floor without lift.
Is volumetric weight applied?
No. EuroCollis uses transparent per-item pricing — what you see is what you pay.
